The archive tells the story of the history of the former Aleknaičiai and partially Lygumai schools in Pakruojis district. Most of the photos featured in the archive were created by the former teacher of both schools, Stasys Grušas. The texts, in turn, are based on the stories of the former pupils of Aleknaičiai School and those who participated in its community life, recounting activities that took place from 1932 to 2000.
Nearly all of the photographs in this archive, which were taken from 1982 onwards, were collected, archived, and preserved by the photographer Stasys Grušas and his wife Bronė Grušienė until the late 20th century. The authors of the other photographs remain unknown.
